How was everyone’s weekend?  We traveled to College Station for a good ol Aggie Football game!  It’s always fun to head back to your old stomping grounds and see people you haven’t seen in a while.  Sadly, we lost and froze our booties off at the game but we had a good time.  There’s always next year (that’s been my saying since I attended school there).

On a side note, I’m going to give my new side business a plug while I’m rambling!  I discovered Lularoe Clothing a couple months back and have been obsessed.  They are a clothing company based out of California and they are super unique.  They are all about making women feel beautiful AND comfortable.  I must say I feel both in their clothes, they are super comfy and great patterns and colors.  Not to mention the price point is really great too.  I’ve recently become a consultant and launch tonight with my inventory.  It’s easy to shop via Facebook picture albums, all inventory will be posted there.  If you see an item you like, you snag it (because you might not see it again…I’ve had this happen a couple of times!) and I ship it to you. As some of you know, Doug and I lived in Dallas for a few years. We met in Dallas, we fell in love in Dallas and we ate in Dallas.  Dallas has some of the best restaurants in Texas as you can imagine.  Our absolute favorite breakfast spot was located right across from Doug’s apartment.  We actually regret we didn’t take more advantage of the proximity because it is THE BEST breakfast around.  It’s a charming location in Uptown that was once an old laundry mat.  It is always crowded, for good reason, and has one of the most amazing servers we’ve ever met….

It’s finally becoming a little cooler here in Texas, which means it’s the perfect time for sharpening my soup skills.  The past few days have been rainy and chilly which left me craving something warm and comforting for dinner at night.  Even better, something that is easy to make on a week night and will easily reheat.  Nothing can beat a good Corn Chowder, especially when the key ingredients are cheddar cheese and bacon.  Yes, please and thank you!  This Cheddar and Bacon Corn Chowder is so creamy and cheesy, ideal for those winter nights….
