Raise your hand if you love smoothies!! Who doesn’t? What I love about smoothies is how nutritious they are, and how I can disguise healthy food in and trick my 3 year old into drinking it. She will eat the heck out of fruit, but veggies are tough. She is super duper picky. That is no lie. Her diet mostly consists of grilled cheese, chicken and fruit. Lots and lots of fruit. When I have the chance to get vegetables and greens into her meals without a fight, I take it. A smoothie is really the perfect vehicle to get them into her diet and she get’s excited about it. They’re great for getting fruits and veggies into our diet easily too. Admittedly, I am not a big fruit eater, when I have the chance to drink my fruit it’s much better. I love that you can pack a ton of nutrients into a smoothie. My husband and I have done smoothie week cleanses where we drink a smoothie every morning for breakfast and most dinners.
Thankfully, it’s Smoothie Week at the Kroger Family of stores! You can find the 32 oz Chobani Greek Yogurt in Plain, Vanilla or Strawberry in the yogurt section. The larger sizes are great to have on hand to make sure you always have enough for a smoothie. Make sure to go grab one and check out your local Kroger Family of Stores September 4-6th for delicious Chobani Greek Yogurt demos in-store.
Aside from smoothies being great to get fruits and vegetables into your diet, you can’t forget the protein factor. I try and try to get more protein every day, but can never seem to get as much as I’d like. Chobani Greek Yogurt has more daily value for protein than regular yogurt. With 22 grams of protein per serving, which is 44% of your daily nutritional needs.
I also love the fact that Chobani Greek Yogurt has three types of probiotics which are a vital part of my little ones diet. She needs them to keep her healthy since 3 year olds are notorious for being germ free creatures who always wash their hands and never get sick. :-). It also has 40% less sugar than regular yogurt and no artificial sweeteners or flavors. To top it all off, Chobani is made with natural ingredients that are not genetically modified.
This Berry Green smoothie recipe is the perfect combination of fruitiness and freshness. It isn’t overly sweet either, it’s just right. There is just enough green, and perfectly fitting it turns out a light purple. My little ones favorite color. It’s worth noting, I prefer to freeze the fruit ahead of time. It helps to prevent from having to add ice to get the frozen texture I prefer. If we are doing a smoothie cleanse, I always find it’s easiest to prepare smoothie bags and put them in the freezer on Sunday night. Just wake up and throw them in the blender so you cut down on your prep time in the mornings! Makes our morning routine that much easier.
Want a happy smiling face like that? Don’t forget to check out your local Kroger Family of Stores September 4-6th for a tasty Chobani demo in-store!

She is just adorable! I need to try this with my kids who are horrible at eating their veggies. But mine are 5 and 7 so I’d have to hide the ingredients while making them. haha. Thank you for sharing! #client
